Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I found a garbage bag full of human bones deep inside a abandoned copper mine once. Called the cops, told them , they took my prints to rule me out . Never heard from it again.
While hunting as a teen in AZ Desert it was in the 70's that day, so just a T-shirt and my vest. Got badly lost by making huge mistake. That night got down to low teens. Sitting next to huge fire could see nearest town about 30 miles one way. Could see what looked like 3 radio towers several miles off kind of same direction. Decided to set off towards them figuring something had to be there. Would walk as long as I could, stop build fire warm up. Get to towers there is fence so high I could not see the top. inside nothing. So build yet another fire. Turns out I had stumbled onto one of those cold war ICBM sites. 2 GI's who had what must have been the crap assignment, guarding this thing in literally the middle of no where drive over to see who the hell is building a fire. We all had a good laugh, after they asked me "do you know where you are? You're not supposed to be here". To which I asked if they wanted me to keep walking towards the next lights I could see. They gave me both of their box lunches which I finished off while we waited for Search and Rescue to get there.
