Why I ask around if it's true or not cause you can't believe the media now days. Funny how the real point is missed on a higher minimum wage, government gets more tax money with higher wages so yes they want everyone to make more money.

The city of SeaTac (where the airport is) voted it in although it is being contested in court. The city council in Seattle has a 3 step program for all small businesses to get up to $15 but big business (Micky D's, Subway...) are supposed to start early because they can afford it???? WTF???? They are small business owners who bought a franchise so they gotta pay fee's (as well as wages) to the home business.
Jobs like these are supposed to be starter jobs, my 1st job was at an XXX Rootbeer restaurant as a cook. These are not supposed to be a fricken CAREER! Washington already had the 3rd highest minimum wage in the nation but the Demoncraps in charge don't give a crap about inflation or care about the people who should go back to school so they can get a real job, they just want someone that relys on public assistance who will keep on voting them back into office.
In todays world ya need a college education (not political science) or go to a trade school that teaches you a trade.
These fools that believe they are "entitled" to a living wage because they work at Burger King are a burden to society as they cause inflation! a Big Mac will soon be $7... REALLY?

I have family who occasionally hire in WA. They said that they'd rather pay someone who already knows (with job history)what they are doing 20/hr+ than to have to pay someone who knows nothing and provide the training that comes with it 15/hr. So if you're out of school looking for a job with no employment history...Sorry but he can't afford you.

This is a horrible idea, but in barry's america it fits perfectly, give people weed, high paying idiot jobs, and all the socialism you can drown them with and they will take without a fight.

You'll see a lot more companies laying off workers and forcing the remaining workers to work twice as hard. And if possible they will start using employees as contractors like comcast does for installers.

The end effect of this $15 min is to increase outsourcing. Min wage jobs will be lost because the consumer will go elsewhere. The workers who were making $25 before this increase will demand an equivalent increase. Increased labor cost all levels will make outsourcing more attractive. The general population of the state will get poorer in the long run due to lost opportunities. Nice going liberals...

I was in a Home Depot some time back, looking for something or other for our smoker.
Big store couldn't find it, opened my phone opened the HD web page to use some search-fu
and it came back with the aisle in the store I was in as the result.

Queue up at lunch, open the FastFood app, order, pay from your phone (Google wallet for example) pick up food at window.

That is today's technology.

And no worries, those apps can do a better job of up-selling you - no simple 'Ya want fries with that' more the "buy a large, and will give you a free refill on your way home" Along with a reminder at 5. On your new-fangled car's center console and entertainment center, so long as you have bundled the the auto insurance and auto routine maintenance plans.

They're testing these in NY now. And the have a machine that can cook the burgers at a rate of over 300 per hr. that cooks them to order.
Know that 7 man crew is a 1 man crew just filling a machine with product and clean up.
And I too want a 5 dollar raise just like everyone else, oh Ya and I have lots of different skills that make
Me worth it!!!!!
