Washington's wonderful firearms laws state....
a 10 working day wait...and the need for a FFL in regards to firearm sales / transfers...private or retail.
( there are a few exceptions to this , such as immediate family member transfers )

Of course as noted above in post # 5 , there are "work arounds"....
Which are not legal.
Do as you wish...
However it is wise to not brag about breaking the law over the internet....
And it is always good to weigh the risk versus the reward when contemplating such actions.

There are no work-arounds where laws are obeyed, unless 'the wife' is a FFL. Other "work arounds" might suggest you review your bank balance or be checked for STDs.

The law-abiding citizens are the ones affected by these ridiculous anti-2A laws.

When I bought a Colt 1911 it I had to wait 10 business days before I could pick it up from my FFL. I went over and paid him and I was filled out the paperwork. I had to use the SAFE website. I passed the background check when submitted by my FFL. I had to go to this website first since my FFL needs the Transferee Code that it gives me. I also had to enable a safe website for 30 days otherwise the record will be deleted. I suppose if you do at a gun shop they can get the code before it is deleted.

Up to the discretion of the FFL present. They told us to leave, so we did. In front of God, the cops and the entire gun show.

While this may have happened....
You have not been allowed , legally , to use your Washington CPL ( Not CPP ) to circumvent a BGC or wating period....
Since 2019 or thereabouts...

It is not up to the FFL and their discretion.....at least legally here in Washington.
Please note that I do not agree with this law / restriction etc....but it is the law here ...sad to say.

Interesting. We (by that I mean the FFL I work for) were shipping a pistol to a police officer in Riverside County California the other day and he could not find an FFL that would transfer the pistol without a 10 day waiting period and background check. Not sure if Riverside County is different, but I think its more possible as well as more probable that you are just wrong.

Not tryna stir poo, just giving a real world example of what you may run into in California.
