Any experience here with the Vector V93? Worth buying at this point? I'm strongly considering it over a PTR91, because of ammunition prices.

Charles, I PMed you about mine.

I have 4 flavors of HKs (currently for sale). They are: PTR-91, Vector V-51 (8" SBR), Vector V-93, Vector V-53 (8" SBR).

All have been extremely reliable.

Pros:
- Simple, reliable operation
- Great irons
- Smooth recoil
- Folding stocks
- Mags are cheap (for the .308s)

Cons:
- Beats the crap out of brass (for reloaders)
- Ergos leave some to be desired (a little better than AKs though)
- PITA to mount optics
- Mags are expensive (for the .223s)
- Ugly triggers (Bill Springfield and Williams both can fix this).

I really like my V-93. All around it's my favorite of all those 4. Very smooth, pretty accurate with irons, and easy to use. If I had to pick one, only, I'd keep the V-93. The PTRs start getting heavy, pretty long, and chews up expensive .308.
