Yesterday, under my reloading bench, I found a Philadelphia mint 1956 quarter, in OK condition.
It's my brother's birth year, so wanted to give it to him.
I understand the Philly mint pieces are less common,so what's its approximate worth?
As always, thanks for any info.

Thanks @Gent.
I'll tell him, "it's worth five or six 9mm, priceless if werewolves make a comeback."
Coin silver price...
US DollarsCoinsSwiss Francs
$25.49Closing Silver PriceCHF 23.39
$34.02United States EagleCHF 31.21
$32.02Canadian Maple LeafCHF 29.37

So divide that $25.49 by .25 and that's how much that coin will get you.

In that condition, $1-2. Easiest thing to do is look at ebay completed sales.
Wifey gets silver coins from time to time and after she has a a few $ worth we take them in. A dollar worth of silver coins (coin silver is 90%pure) is 1 oz of coin silver. Four silver quarters make 1 ounce. One ounce of coin silver is worth somewhere around $25.00 currently. So, one silver $.25 coin is worth 25% of the current rate for a 90% silver ounce. $6.25

There's really no collector value on most silver coins unless there is something special or peculiar about them. Really, really old, or errors at the mint. Very fist or last of a run, or very few minted.
