If your club matches are not following the rules of the sport, then what the h-e-double toothpicks are they?!
Not checking gear, not following rules, wow.
I get that it happens. But it is not a service to anyone. When the guy shows up at a state match and gets DQ'd before shooting what has that accomplished?
I don't know what USPSA rules are about non-compliant guns. At a club match I would hope they would let a shooter run in a Not for Score / Not for Competition / or New Shooter manner for one time. But not "anything" - Is an AR Pistol OK ? How about a 22LR Conversion on a 1911?
Games have rules, play by the rules.
