I'm visiting family in Twin and was wondering where a good place to shoot.

Drive 15 minutes in any direction and you're good to go. At least it used to be that easy 15 years ago. If you're in twin head across the bridge and take a right a little ways after you cross but before you get to the highway. Not sure how far or if there is still a shooting pit that way. Good luck! There were a couple of actual ranges but we only used them for sporting clays and 5 stand. One of them had a rifle range too. Have you tried googling it yet?

So much BLM desert to explore and shoot safely. Just beware of farms and roads. Please know your backstop.

There is a nice shooting range open to the public. Head north Hwy 93. It will be on right hand side. jerome rod & gun club.

Whats one of the ranges I was talking about. It's a great range! You used to be able to pay $5-$10 in a drop box.

Thanks for the info folks. I did locate the blm land south of I-84 and the bridge. Found several spots where there were shot gun hulls and lots of brass left behind. Didn't shoot but collected a couple hundred spent 9mm & 40 s&w mixed brass.
