Anyone know of good areas near CDA Idaho?

Hello everyone,

Looking for a decent shooting area somewhere around Coeur d Alene Idaho. It been a bit since my son has been shooting and I'd like to take him to an area where we can shoot on our own and make sure he is up to snuff on safety before taking him to the range. Plus I'd like a place where I can shoot my steel targets. Would just like a secluded open area that is safe to shoot. Thanks!

Did you find someplace? When I was living in Rathdrum I would hear gunfire off in the distance in the woods. I never did find a spot though. There is the public range, Farragut public shooting range operating by fish and wildlife.

Nope still looking. I've asked around but still haven't found a spot. I may just have to take a drive and find a place.

Ended up hearing of a place called Hayden Creek. Looks decent on the map but roads are snowmobile only right now so I'll see how it looks once it thaws.
