Maybe if you folks would get off the Glenn Beck crazy train for a moment to actually read the posts then you would see that nobody is "lauding leftist politicians." Who I laud is the working stiff who busts his tail for forty years to support a family but then when he gets a little to old, slow and broken he gets kicked to the curb with no health insurance. These are the people that you folks call leaches who want to "spread the wealth around" and take from the poor, innocent hard working top 2%. Instead of "concluding" that everyone who disagrees with you is a devil-possesed insane dumb dumb why don't you come up with your own solutions. I will give you mine:

1. ) Term Limits

2.) Publicly financed elections.

Naw, that's not at all what I meant by any of that. You haven't been on these forums long enough to know some of the "players"... that was only for Bugeye, because of the games he plays trying to twist words and only hearing what he wants to hear in an argument. Go back and read our posts in context, and you will see that he set the stage for an "argument" concerning the American Indian, and I replied to that context, then he twisted it into something else as if I was off on a tangent.

If you can't see it after this explanation, its not my problem... and FYI, I'm not on a "Glenn Beck crazy train", everything I said is a matter of PUBLIC RECORD if you would just go and do your OWN homework. As for a "safety net", of course I'm all for it... where the problem lies is in those who would empower themselves over others into veritable slavery by holding ALL the purse strings. Unbridled "Corporatism" is just as bad as "National Socialism"... Germany tried that route once, it ended very badly.

Thanks for the clarification and I agree with you completely regarding the above post.

Re - the quote about the Republic lasting as long as it takes for the Tapeworm Class to stay in office by dispensing largesse from the public treasury

Read these posts and you will see that I interpreted Stomper in the most reasonable way. Mr. Stomper twists his words just fine on his own, and I consider him a master. I'm just trying to sort out his generalities, poor references, and his incredible process of extruding absolute judgements from a few cherry picked lines of the 'PUBLIC RECORD'.

I simply said that as horrible as the government was at dealing with the American Indian, they might have been better than any other practical historical option. I didn't propose this as a matter of 'Public Record' or absolute truth, just as a speculation, and one I've never heard or considered before. I did this to show that even old truisms have a back side and that considering this backside is worthwhile.
