Above Carlton

Interesting, sounds like where I go, typically, and from posts below it sounds like it's unlawful to shoot there, however I've seen no posted signs anywhere saying so. I can see why its prohibited, the trash everywhere is apauling. We do what we can to clean up a little extra everytime, but wow, its terrible out there. Can anyone confirm this is not legal land to shoot on currently? Is it posted anywhere online?

wow i went there at the end of august and it wasnt nearly as bad as this. if i get my car tuned this weekend i will definitely go out there rain, sleet, or snow. maybe not snow. these are the only shooting spots i know.

Anybody know how much it'd take to make up some of those corrugated plastic yard signs that explains the consequences of leaving shooting areas trashed? It might help a little - I imagine a lot of this is simply Bubba not having a clue that it's anything more than mildly irritating for other shooters. This is what his own yard looks like, afterall.

I'd be willing to chip in for a dozen or so signs to pass out to people to stick at their local shooting spots.

You can get them as low as a couple bucks a sign. I think they would be shot up in a couple days though.

Dang it! That is not too far from where I used to go above McGuire res. It has been a year or two since I have been up there. Guess I will be bringing along extra clean up bags if I ever make it up there again, let's hope it does not close.

Group clean up?
