    where is it stamped IBM 1943? Whats on the Receiver under the rear sight? Cause that sure looks like an Iver Johnson put together.

    Mark,
    Both the barrel stamp (where the cannon ball is as well) and the receiver stamp (under the rear sight) say IBM corp. I do believe it is an Iver Johnson stock, but the action is all IBM.

    Is the barrel stamp near the front sight? Can you send me or post the first few S/N's?

    Yes, the barrel stamp is just below the front sight. Serial number is 7 digits starting in 374xxxx. This is the best pic I can get of the front sight stamp. My camera is pretty basic.
