I've gotta say I'm at a loss to understand the criticism of these holsters.

I own many holsters, of many makers. These 1791 holsters are some of my favorite. Then to hear they are awful, seems like I'm on a different planet, and wonder if folks are just jumping on the internet bashwagon.

I would ask of the haters, honestly, have you ever actually owned or used any 1791 products?
They are run of the mill production holsters and there's nothing wrong with that but once you've gone down the semi-custom/custom horsehide road there's no going back. After leather like Kramer, KLNull, Milt Sparks, Garrity I can't ever see buying another Galco let alone a 1791.

I own one for my G26 but the retention is just a little bit too tight for my liking.
Tight shouldn't be an issue, leather just needs some break in, I've had several leather holsters I would not consider carrying without working them, they were just too tight but once broken in they are fine. Hours in front of the TV with an unloaded pistol going in and out of the holster.
