Once Greater Idaho is established, the rest will be easy!

The Greater Idaho Militia can begin coordinating with the PATRIOTS in the respective remaining counties of Oregon and can then begin liberating those counties on the weekends as time permits...saving Portland for last.

Once the Militia has the remaining counties under control, they can then begin the process of walling off Portland...to ensure that the disease is contained and can never spreads again.

There's probably also a fair number of counties in Northern California that would help the Idaho Militia in this effort...in exchange for future admittance to Greater Idaho. It's a win/win.

I like how he pronounces the counties like they're in Mexico. It probably doesn't matter because 99% who view the clip don't know either.............

While it is a great dream, it will never happen. The Oregon legislature will never approve it. But, it is still a great political statement and kudo's for those who are making it.

There are events coming up as soon as tomorrow,
so please check out this newsletter.
Now that eastern Oregon and the Idaho House of Representatives have proven that they support the Greater Idaho movement, the movement must now focus on the Oregon Legislature. Summer and Fall are the times of the year when legislators have the most time to read your emails, take your calls, or meet with you.
We have worked to put everything into place to make it easy for western Oregon legislators to vote in favor of Greater Idaho. A poll was published last year. Unfortunately, most legislators seemed to be too busy during the legislative session to listen to us.
Greater Idaho was featured in the most-watched show in America, CBS Sunday Morning recently, and the Washington Post. We'll be on NBC News next month. We've been in the New York Times, CNN, Fox News, etc. But we don't think most legislators have heard anyone list the benefits to their own constituents of moving the state line. These articles don't mention them. So share with your state legislators these op-eds published for western Oregon, for eastern Oregon, or for Idaho.
In our last newsletter, the button below got 102 clicks. That's almost 2 clicks for each of the 60 state house districts. Keep it up, especially if you live in northwestern Oregon, because we don't have nearly enough volunteers there, but that's where the state leaders' districts are.

Idaho Senators need to hear too, because they haven't voted yet. Also, Idaho House members need to hear from you because they heard Rep. Ned Burns lie about us on the floor of House during debate. You can correct Ned's misinformation with this post. They might vote on this again too. Here's info for contacting Idaho legislators.

Town Halls:

These 5 legislators don't meet with us, so a town hall might be the only opportunity to educate them on the benefits to them and their constituents of moving the state line.

Legislative Days:

Although the Oregon Legislature is not in session, they will meet for hearings September 27-29, November 6-8, and January 10-12. Although not every legislator attends in person on every day, it's a good opportunity to try to catch legislators coming out of a hearing or you can schedule a meeting with your legislator in Salem ahead of time (and invite us to join you if they agree to meet you).

Good news: Oregon House Speaker Dan Rayfield finally agreed to schedule a meeting with our legislative liaison in November.

Rep. Janelle Bynum agreed to meet with us if we can find one of her constituents who wants to show up to her office in Salem during one of these legislative days in September. I think a Zoom meeting would be good enough. If you will volunteer, click "reply" on this email to let me know.

If you live in Oregon Rep. Paul Holvey's district, you should get a ballot very soon on whether to recall him from office. You should know that Rep. Holvey's staff has never replied to any of the emails, letters, phone calls, or voice mail that Greater Idaho state leaders and lobbyists have sent him over the last 3 years.

If you are a PCP in the Oregon Republican Party,

try to become a delegate to the Platform Convention in Pendleton October 19-21 by contacting the chair of your county's Republican Party. You will get to vote on adding a Greater Idaho plank to the party platform. Attend the Liberty and Rights Committee meeting, where you will vote on whether to forward the plank to the general session (unless they assign our plank to another committee). The plank will be introduced by the Grant County delegation.

County Commissioner meetings on Greater Idaho are coming up in eastern Oregon in Lake (Christmas Valley), Union, Morrow, and Baker counties. Please attend to tell your commissioners why they should get the Eastern Oregon Counties Association to endorse Greater Idaho.

Keep up the momentum!

With the difficulty we've had in the Oregon Legislature this year, we need donations to pay for a poll to find out if western Oregon voters would vote in favor of a Greater Idaho statewide ballot initiative. We also need funds for a lawyer to investigate whether a statewide ballot initiative could approve an interstate compact to move the state line. We also want to be able to rehire lobbyists immediately.

In order for our movement to make progress, please connect us with business owners and landowners who believe in the potential of this movement. And hit the button below!... Do you know Malheur County land-owners near the Nevada border?

Influence the polls

You can sign up to answer poll questions for Oregon's monthly 15-minute OVBC poll, and national pollsters YouGov and CIVIQs. OVBC and YouGov actually pay you. It's likely that OVBC will ask Oregonians about Greater Idaho again and they said rural Oregonians' responses are weighted heavier because not enough have joined yet. The results of these polls often make it into the news and might influence legislators.
It's time for you to run for office!
This is the time to become a candidate before the primary elections next year in May. In Oregon, you can open a campaign committee to accept campaign funds as early as September 1. Contact your legislator and find out if he's running again. 10 Oregon state senators are disqualified from running again, unless they convince the judge otherwise. Some of them leave an open seat next year: Art Robinson, Brian Boquist, Tim Knopp, Bill Hansell, and Lynn Findley. Senator Hansell announced his retirement anyway.

If you live in Idaho, some candidates win elections without spending much of anything. You might want to replace a state legislator who voted against our resolution. Their names are in red below.

Don't just focus on the horrible cities on the west. Im sure the ideologies have infiltrated places like Boise, CDA and other places. No point in keeping the bad out if it's already in and rotting from the inside.

There is still a chance with Idaho. It is on track to become Californicated just like Oregon and Washington have. The left infiltrates the main cities...Portland, Seattle, Boise, and spreads their disease from there until they control the state. But Idaho still has a right wing majority. But they better be working to stop the disease and putting policies in place to help protect and insulate in case they fail.

I think it is a fantasy that this has a chance of happening in the next few decades. It would require a Constitutional Amendment on a national level and those are difficult to accomplish on even something most people in America agree upon.
I am in my sixty's and an amendment has happened on about four occasions in my lifetime.

It might not require a Constitutional Amendment.

Article IV, Section 3, Clause 1:

New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.

From this; it would require the consent of Idaho and Oregon Legislatures, as well as Congress (House Bills and Senate Bills). That is already a hard bar to get, especially since Oregon Legislatures stand to lose some Federal funding for the Federal lands in the areas in question, as well as the tax revenue and timber/mineral rights revenues in the areas.
