I wouldn't touch a model 69 with a 10 foot pole if you plan to shoot it regularly. That's a .357 frame having .44 Magnum put though it. Uncomfortable would be an understatement and short service life a guarantee.
Not so sure about the short service life, but it is not a comfortable gun to shoot when shooting 44 Mags. With 44 Specials it feels absolutely perfect.That's one thing that's made me indecisive. Just how small the frame is.
It's the only gun I shot with a glove. The 329 I have now isn't too far behind in recoil.
The plowhandle shape of the Blackhawk grip does a good job of sucking up recoil as it rolls in the hand, but I don't shoot that style of gun as well as I do a DA, so I got rid of the ones I had.
Of the two listed in the OP, I'd buy the 69 again.
