I wouldn't touch a model 69 with a 10 foot pole if you plan to shoot it regularly. That's a .357 frame having .44 Magnum put though it. Uncomfortable would be an understatement and short service life a guarantee.

That's one thing that's made me indecisive. Just how small the frame is.
Not so sure about the short service life, but it is not a comfortable gun to shoot when shooting 44 Mags. With 44 Specials it feels absolutely perfect.
It's the only gun I shot with a glove. The 329 I have now isn't too far behind in recoil.

The plowhandle shape of the Blackhawk grip does a good job of sucking up recoil as it rolls in the hand, but I don't shoot that style of gun as well as I do a DA, so I got rid of the ones I had.

Of the two listed in the OP, I'd buy the 69 again.

I have a 69 myself.
It is a carry gun not a range toy.
Super Blackhawks are a lot easier to shoot.
Had a 29 Mountain gun when they first came out, much better shooter than the 69.
But still not really a range gun.

That's the case with me. It'll be a carry item durning hunting season and when hiking in north Montana. I'll still take it out and practice with it though.
