And we're up against it!

The firearms community has long quipped about gun control strategies from a “playbook,” but yesterday a major gun rights group discovered that advice from a genuine guide to waging a politically-savvy gun control campaign – produced in part by Washington, D.C. consultants who did research for a Washington State gun control group – is part of that group’s political effort.

Yeah. I saw that.

An entire section devoted to "A look at the basic messaging match up between gun advocates and gun violence prevention groups." WTF??? The implication being that "gun advocates" are opposed to "gun violence prevention."

While reading all 80 pages, my bullsh*t alarm went off so many times that the batteries ran down and I was left defenseless for the next hour.

They should read this collection of facts to get the real low-down. But, it doesn't support their agenda.

Ya, but you also read where they specifically said "...don't use facts and statistics..."

They very specifically want to use emotion and feelings, not facts and logic.

Very similar to the socialist playbook: If you don't have facts on your side, mock your opponents. If that doesn't work, try name calling. If that doesn't work, try and suppress the opposition with claims of "hate speech." If that doesn't work, make up claims of "racism".

I guess they just don't understand that the group who identifies themselves as supporting the femenist movement doesn't have a problem with pushing an agenda that seeks to keep them in the victim status. I wonder when the femenist organizations will wake up and see the anti gun / anti 2A agenda as a push to keep them from being on equal footing when it comes to self defense. I'd love to see womens groups and other groups like pink pistols to come out loud and proud against the agenda that seeks to knock them back 50 years in the fight for equality.

Swede, you may have just cracked the code on why these fools find themselves always demanding change. They have the opportunity but dribble it away at every turn.

Maybe they'll understand this:

‘Gun violence prevention' is ‘gun control'

Evergreen State gun owners are talking up yesterday's revelations about a genuine gun control "playbook" and on the Open Carry/Washington forum, one participant answered a fairly common question about whether there is a "pro-gun playbook" that may be used by gun rights advocates.
