We visited the 4 primary gun building regions on the continent 2 years ago. This is a photo of one of Merkel's master engravers at the factory in Suhl. I was "forced" to order a new Adamy stalking rifle. All custom hand built by the Adamy family to my specifications. It should be done in 2018-19. Adamy built some of Earnest Hemingway's favorite guns. You only live once......

Having been raised on African Safari movies, (Stuart Granger, etc.) I've always thought the apex of gun
ownership was a cased H&H, Purdey, Westly Richards,etc. African double rifle with 3 sets of barrels.

Since then I've fallen to the dark side...
