This is why we never named our chickens.
I knew a guy who called his girlfriend Porkchop. Never asked why...I named my pig "Porkchop".
True story.
This has always been my way of dealing with this. Many say no more after one dies. For me the only way to do it is find another. We got 2 more when the one on the right went down a little over a year ago. Without them I know for us it would be a lot worse. They help us forget the ones we loved as they work their way into our hearts. Sadly one day we will have to say goodby to them too. It's just life for those of us who these animals find a place in our hearts.I've had to go through it many times. So many that after each time I've sworn I'd never get another Dog. Yet, I always adopt another. You'll always have the memory of your Boxer and the comfort knowing you gave it a good life.
That is amazing especially in a larger breed. That is like a human living to 110. Must have been one VERY well cared for pup!!My Condolences, I just had to put my 20 year old Golden down last month, it always sucks to have to say good by to them, their lives are so short!
Remember all the good times with them and cherish those memories!
Lots and lots of love, good food, plenty of care and spoiling, and tennis balls! That is amazing especially in a larger breed. That is like a human living to 110. Must have been one VERY well cared for pup!!
Good dog.Today I had to put our boxer Josie down. She started having seizures, that unveiled fluid around her heart and a heart tumor. She was only 7, we had some great years together. She was always my shadow and although not a official service dog she helped me keep my sanity on bad days. Please say a little prayer for her. I will miss her dearly.
