I just got back from this class. It was awesome!
HRO Patrolling Montana!!!!!!
So, from the pics, you're all training (for a week) for the day the UN-One-World-Govt, Illuminati takes over and you all head for the hills to take up Basic Infantry courses against the infantry that trains for that eventuality 24/7/365?
Wow, impressive. -For anyone that wasn't an 11/B or the same smell in other services.
misterbill. when i was in the infantry i would have disobeyed orders to attack my fellow americans. the constitution requires me to disobey those orders. everyone in my platoon felt the same way. i am sure this is still a common opinion today so i am not worried about that scenario. so to answer your question. i took that class because it was fun. alot more fun than playing golf!
Both in ROTC and at Aviation Officer Candidate school we spent a good bit of time on the UCMJ. So we would understand as officers NJP article 15s and especially "unlawful orders" and firing upon American citizens and strafing/purposely bombing civilians fell in to that category at that time. I certainly hope in the next few years that the blue helmets don't become our version of the 21st century Hessians of the War of independence 239 odd years ago. Hopefully our young men and women in the majority will say Eff it I ain't pulling the trigger. And I don't care if some officers get fragged for ordering such an outrageous thing. I never would have given such an obviously illegal and immoral order. But then I never would have thought we'd be this far down the road to a police state in 2013 either.
Hopefully for all the volunteers if SHTF there will be some 11Bravos to show them enough to blunt the threat. Yes, they have overwhelming fire superiority, technology, etc, etc. but throughout history determined men and women have beaten such odds. To me, any training is better than nothing. Cadres of combat vets will be helpful to train eager but green civilians. Morale is big time. If enough folks are willing to risk their lives then time and terrain are on the side of the rebels. Hopefully this will all be just a bunch of conceptualization and things will be back on the right side of the road in a few years. Plus name me a single nationality of blue hats whose government keeps sending them in to get decimated by the local bad guys the UN is trying to subdue. I can't name too many. I for one hope its not Turks or Roks that come knocking to enforce the un treaty. aranoid:
All the guns and gear we endlessly debate, trade, upgrade....etc....are just tools. Without good quality training to go with them we are just kidding ourselves if we think we can use them to hold off "the golden horde"! Good for you Smaw, I have taken a couple courses from Suarez Int. myself and they know how to train warriors like nobody else does!!!.......
The real beauty is if the US economy tanks there isn't enough money in the UN to support major and sustained operations over here IMHO. Europe has their own cans of worms. When was the last time a truly socialist country invaded another? Communist autocracies, sure. 3rd world dictators, yup! I do believe in training. Likely scenario, perhaps. The Swiss are armed and trained and landlocked and no one has effed with them for centuries. and just maybe a few 1,000 trained citizens give some of dem gubment fellers a nightmare or two.
Because the Afghanis have been doing such a horrible job of fighting us AND the Russians for like 30+ years. Obviously, you would lose automatically if the National Guard comes rolling down the street. Yeah, the few million combat vets that have left the military in the last 10 years would not stand a chance...
SmawGunner, good to see you the spend time and money on training, many don't. There are some on this board that see this as a waste of effort for no reason. They've lost their sense of freedom, they prefer and want the chains of the collective, as they are enlightened. These enlightened ones are the Quislings who'll be pointing the fingers at Patriots, for their handlers.
Looks like a great time. Great pics.
ive only looked at the classifications a few times but im pretty sure 11-b is infantry. now not to rag you you infantry guys (especially those who may have been drafted) but infantry recruits are the guys who barely passed the asvab; and it doesnt take much to get a 32. many of those people are dumb as bricks and took the MOS simply to get into the military. you cant count on stupid people to disobey stupid orders. dont forget that american soldiers have already fired on american citizens in the past, and even bombed american citizens recently.
now with that said, i have no doubt that we can count on the vast, overwhelming majority of our soldiers to keep us safe at all costs; even if they dont have a grasp on what mortality means, because at 17 or 18 none of us are mortal.
as far as the class, it looks like a blast and if i could afford it, i would be there. i can definitely see some practical skills coming from there but nothing that will do any good long term. in the heat of the (highly unlikely) moment, you may find yourself a leader in a bubblegumty situation though. some things stick right away but its not enough time to retain it all. helps having fun while you learn and im sure it was a great time.
Dood, the obvious never dawned on me.. Antichrist is prophesied to be wearing a blue "hat".
Does Suarez do any teaching? Or would that violate his Felony conviction?
Steve06 - If YOU had done ANY research on Gabe Suarez you would quickly find out these charges were all BS. Why do YOU bring this BS up? Whats your agenda? I spend my hard earned money and some of my limited vacation days on a once in a lifetime class and you feel the need to poo poo it? What axe do you have to grind? Gabe has done great things in our shooting world. He has moved us forward. Pushed the envelope. I have taken classes from him and I have learned a lot more from him than those ancient square range doctrine methods that will get me killed in real life. He is a great instructor and he also has some of the best instructors around. We would all be lucky to take classes from him or his instructors.
He did a plea deal at the misdemeanor level to avoid a felony conviction.
Don't confuse his firearms knowledge and ability as an instructor with whether or not he was telling the truth. Gabe does know his guns but the charges against him were legitimate. He got caught and had to pay the price.
Gabe can say whatever he wants about the extent of his injuries and the bad legal advice he received but he knew what he was doing was not on the level. He had a workaround payment system where money went to his wife instead of him so it didn't look like he was working professionally as a trainer.
