I've kinda had my eye on the Stoeger Condor Outback as a SHTF/backpackable shotgun. Its a shortened take-down version of their 'Condor' series. The fact that nobody seems to carry them makes me a little suspicious, but I thought I'd ask around and see if anyone has used either of the Condors.

Basically, I have ~$400 to spend on one more gun. I'm trying to decide between a shotgun or a very small carry pistol to complement my SW Sigma.

I'm not a huge fan of M4 stocks on shotguns, you just dont need them. If you get a nice scabbard, and mount it to the side of your pack, you are good to go.

A bead sight 590 should run you $360-380ish, and a ghost ring model should be around $400-420.

But you can always get a 500/590 or 870, and put a side folder or top folder on them, they arent comfortable to shoot, but they fold up pretty small.

Here's a good size comparison for you;

That's a moss 500 with side folder.
