Connecticut had a huge firearm manufacturing presence only a few decades ago. The whole NE, even NH, is getting sucked into a black hole of complacency completely at ease and content with forfeiting some personal liberties for the promise of safety that cannot be guaranteed by laws or the actions of others.

At least it hasn't moved any further south than Virginia... yet.

There are too many Marines and Army folks here in North Carolina, at least coastal North Carolina, for the wingnuts to get comfortable. The nuts tend to congregate in the college towns where the ungunned, undergunned, and elitists have all the answers without understanding the questions.
