SRO direct mount to Sig slide?

I picked up and SRO and it seems to me that it will fit on my sig slide the way it is. Is this ok, or is a plate still recommended?

The screws goin in just fine until I hat the white lock tite. Then it's really a force to get them to turn. They did not strip when I took them out however.

nah, SRO battery compartment is on top. No need.

Our guy might consider getting a Jagerwerks BROS SRO shield to keep that nice optic from busting on drops or other bumps.
