This is my first winter in my new Montana home. Taking it as it comes. This area apparently a little more protected. Pretty mild comparatively: temps hover around freezing at night, mid to upper 30;s during the day. Not much snow so far. Three inches overnight into Wednesday morning. Last year, they had already plowed the driveway 3 times by now.
Don't worry, in about a month you'll be chewing on ice cubes to warm up.

50 ish the last couple of days here. Got the roof cleaned off and moss treated. Got all the gutters cleaned. Got most of the debris from the last couple "wind storms" cleaned up thanks to the riding lawn vac/mower. Things are looking pretty good around here for mid january. Also made a few hundred bucks on a mower repair this week!!

Spectacular day today in the mountains east of Oakridge. Spent the day doing a little grouse hunting (saw three birds - no shot opportunities) and checking some trail cameras. At one point I was hiking up hills in my short-sleeved tee shirt. Sometimes driving with the windows down. The snow level was much higher than it was a month ago. Looks like the rain returns tomorrow. Hopefully won't be raining on Saturday over at the coast. I've got a tee time at Florence Golf Links. 🤞

Reckon still winter around this homestead.

Had a little break from the cold for some desperately needed shorts and flip-flops weather.

Hopefully will make it all the way through winter with less than a week of using the furnace. Currently sitting at 2 days since the start.

Wintertime still for me. Had snow starting last night and into morning hours. Mostly melted now but going cold in the mornings force will.
