Yea I would step in but that may come back to bite me.

Even if the prosecution doesn't come from the DA, the wife or the dead husbands family can and will financially ruin you with civil suites if they can.

Having lived there for 15 years until fairly recently, I can say with a pretty high degree of certainty that Spokane County juries aren't going to help out the scum on that score either.
