I grow spaghetti, as well as other winter and summer squash. I like to bake it, scrape it, put in casserole dish with marina, sautéed Italian sausage and mushroom, top wit mozzarella and Romano cheese. Bake until nice and hot with cheeses bubbling. Viola, baked spaghetti! Damn... gonna have to make some this weekend!
If you are going to grow spagehetti squash give the tendrials lots of room to run. I've had some run out as far as thirty feet.

Part of this years haul. I took about 120 pound of it to the local food bank, gave some to friends and kept a supply for us too.

It keeps well, I had some last a year in the basement, and I find it easy to grow. Should be able to save the seeds readily too but I haven't tried that yet.

WOW!! I had no idea that this would get so many replies.
As with nearly veg, over-cooking will ruin it. Mushy veggies suck.
This is particularly true with Sketti Squash and Pak Choi. A bit al dente is just right.
