Pretty certain I have a SP1 BCG. What makes these better/worse in a AR15 vs the m16 style. Are these in demand enough to put up for sale or trade?

I remember when they were relatively cheap back in the day. A Lightning Link could be had for $15.00 plus the tax stamp.
They're now selling for around $15,000.
