Sounds a little like sour grapes to me. If your side had won with the exact same numbers, we all know you would be crowing about her landslide. :)

"When your candidate wins, the people are wise and democracy has spoken.
When your candidate loses, the people are fools and democracy is broken."
Sadly, as a lifelong conservative and Republican "my side" didn't even have a candidate running in this (or the last couple) elections. And no sour grapes at all, just the facts. Yes, if you look at the states that Trump won it was a 'landslide' but the margins and the total votes aren't what I would call a landslide. "Democracy has spoken" and "democracy is broken" can both be true, but lately it's been
"When your candidate wins, the the election was rigged and stolen.
When your candidate loses, the people have spoken and the election was fair."

And that sounds much more like sour grapes than anything I have ever said :)

Back when I was a Democrat in the mid-2000s, and quite naive, I went to the Portland gun show with a bumper sticker that said "Conservative AND a Democrat". And yes, I was foolish enough to believe you could be both.

Got my car keyed badly. It was already ugly anyways, but still. Any demographic is capable of doing this, not just Leftists and Democrats.

Today I'm a Conservative Republican and MUCH wiser than I was at 22, and I have a deep-seated dislike for Progressives, and open hatred for Communists, Communism, and Anarchists. But even then, I wouldn't key somebody's car if I saw bumper stickers on it that I disagreed with. Such actions are for those of the smooth-brain demographic.
You could be a conservative and a D for quite some time in the south. Apparently now you can again, since the "right" has pretty much turned tribalist-collectivist and anti free market. It's just like the social conservative wing in the old south. All the social regression, plus salt of the earth socialism. Yummy.

Who in his rational, right mind, would EVER do something like this over something as stupid as a bumper sticker????
If you scrap the rational part, a little less than half the electorate who voted, according to the last election. But probably a goodly number on the dole but didn't vote or not able to vote.

At least we DID get rid of that disgusting pile of chit Ellen Degenerate.

On her way to England with her 'wife'.
30 yrs ago Ellen was actually funny. Apparently, she had to remove her funny bone to be happy.

Rich people "moving" is no badge of honor. Normal people do it all the time. A lot because it can be cheap. Like Californians that move to Texas. Now it's no longer cheap. Americans moving to Portugal, now it's no longer cheap.

It's not like moving abroad in 1980. Now you can get Popeyes, KFC and most US crap almost anywhere in the world. Stay more than 6 months in some countries and you'll get double taxed though. So enjoy 😉.

I have this theory that if liberals would stay moderate and get rid of their extremists (ie, progressives) and embrace classic liberalism that no republicans would stand a chance to get elected again (just a theory for discussion but there's a point here...). Note another theory is society in general has a slight natural liberal bias, this supports my theory. Anyways... Trump may not have won the popular vote by a numerical "landslide" but the fact that an bubblegum like him won the popular vote at all is still a very large noteworthy result, akin to a "landslide" label. Its a big deal, but I agree it has more to do with where the Democrat party has gone than it does with Trumps policies. Conservatives are celebrating right now, and rightly so, but I fear they are blind to the reason why. If they want to win 2028 they need they need more than just the Democrats imploding as they will have 4 years to rebuild, if they are smart (not likely considering how far off the deep end they have gone).

I've seen you refer to yourself as a "conservative" before. I really have to scratch my head on that one. It reminds me of a former coworker of mine, who said he was a conservative, because some of his views were to some degree conservative or least libertarian. His overall world view was thoroughly and completely "progressive". His definition of "conservative" must be the same as yours.

I don't say that just because you hate Trump. I know plenty of actual conservatives who don't like Trump. Trump is certainly not a traditional conservative either.

I don't think any other Republican* does what Trump did. Even Matt Gaetz stepped down probably because of mounting pressure from rhinos in his own party. Trump was stronger than the DNC juggernaut and over a billion dollars of negative ads. Half or more of the RNC still hate Trump, but people's belief in "something else" outweighed it all.

Hopefully this is an opportunity for an adjustment, and we can reset. They say NBC or MSNBC whatever) is up for sale. Mainstream media is dropping viewer at record rates. Looks like something is happening. Biden throwing gasoline on the fire raging across the world could wreck the movement. What a ...

F the 2 party system
Capital F.
American 2 party politics has all the intellectual honesty of a Punch and Judy puppet show , 2 hands on the same hidden actor.
I would like to believe a massive disruption would cause the system to reboot completely, but that would be naive on my part.

So which of my values do you think disqualify me as a conservative? There must be some because you have decided that I am not. And it's not that I "hate" Trump. I just see him for what he really is, but unfortunately there is a dichotomy among Trump supports were you either love him or you have TDS. And you are correct, Trump is not a Republican or a conservative

FWIW I don't believe the media at all, all the accusations against Trump about being a dictator, fascist, racist and the suspiciously sudden accusations of 30+ year old sex harrassment cases that never would have been pressed if he wasn't running for office. But hypothetically if all those things were true, the "something else" is a huge elephant in the Democrats closet that cost them the election.
Ive told my liberal friends too many times and they still don't get it. For someone like Trump to even have a chance has to do with where liberalism has gone not conservatives.

I just see him for what he really is, but unfortunately there is a dichotomy among Trump supports were you either love him or you have TDS.
I know a lot of conservative Republicans that don't like Trump. Some still vote for him, Others I'm not so certain. The dichotomy of TDS here is wrong... there's a lot going on to label conservatives as TDS and it shouldn't be like that. I have no such judgement.

A lifelong Republican after J6 I left the party, hated Trump for what he did (or what I was manipulated to believe). Registered as unaffiliated. Its so difficult to decipher the media, the election was not stolen and only a fascist would claim such. As time passed conversations with a good conservative friend brought to light how Democrats have passed laws that make it impossible to prove a vote came from a non-citizen. It still didn't click until this year when Democrats overwhelmingly rejected basic election integrity legislation. Shortly after we learned Oregon's registration laws registered non citizens. It also turns out during the "insurrection" Trump literally stated to go home in peace and later he left the White House.

It took 4 years for the media to say the truth about "very fine people"

Trump wrongly accuses immigrants of bringing their worst... I was stumped in a conversation trying to prove anything Trump said about legal immigrants, turns out, everything hes said is about illegal immigrants. Eventually this year the FBI published a report with overwhelming criminal activity from illegal immigrants.

The White Houses Karine Jean-Pierre lied to the American people about Bidens health decline as "cheap fakes".

I could go on... I dont think Trump is a bad person anymore. What the left has done to lie and manipulate the public I will never forget. Ever.

Years ago at an old job we had a customer that apparently didn't like something because they smeared feces all over the bathroom stall. Female mind you. Finger tracks clear as a topographical map.

People suck.

Apparently in Fl. if its over 1K property damage its a felony.
Which, when it comes to vehicles, is a very low bar now. Fling some poo at a guys car, if it gets into the cabin air intake, you're easily over $1K to clean that.

She was taking cues from some of Hollywood's finest.

I'm not going to get into the weeds with politics, but I have been reading your posts for years, and clearly your definition of conservative is very different from most.

"Liberal" and "conservative" mean very different things to different people, and the general meanings have changed a lot over the decades. Call yourself whatever you like.

Great post. The amount of manipulation and outright lying is unforgivable. Truth was tossed out the window and replaced with feelings twisted by hatred. Some were better than others at hiding it but the general public isn't as stupid as they hope for. We spoke our minds with our votes.
