This might seem like a strange request, but I am hoping somebody on the forum has a referral for an attorney (Oregon). None of my friends or colleagues have been in this situation.
I had a minor fender bender with an e-scooter hitting me last year. Should have been a 50-50 deal. My insurance company ( State Farm ) admitted fault, but then dragged out settlement to the claimant.
State Farm hasn't settled yet. Anyways scooters lawyers are now suing me personally for more than they were asking from State Farm.
State Farm was supposed to hook me up with an attorney, but that never happened. BTW, we are with State Farm for 35 years without any claims.

I know this is a strange thing to put on a gun forum, but in my 62 years I never needed a lawyer.

I know there is Google and whatever, but I would prefer a real reference. Thanks !

I promise my next post will be firearms related

Damn what a mess. As so often happens with questions like this you are asking total strangers. If one says go try Billy Bob, he is a great lawyer how do you know? You would do just as well to simply look up traffic lawyers in your area and see what kind of Yelp reviews they have. Pick one with what looks like a good track record and give them a call. See how much they want for some time to show them what you have. WORST thing to do at this point is end up paying out money to someone who can't or does not fix it and you just flushed cash down the crapper.

I'm no lawyer, but before I spent any money on a lawyer, I would be ALL OVER State Farm and demand they get off their kiesters and get that taken care of. Move up the food chain at State Farm if need be.

I'm sorry to read this. Did SF make an offer to settle? They may think that the plaintiff's case is bogus. If they have filed in court, the filing will be against you, not state farm.
It's very odd that State Farm didn't retain counsel for you yet, but like @Alexx1401, I'd be after them on this.

State Farm has to defend unless your limits are exhausted.

Best thing is to google Washington State Insurance Commissioner and file a complaint against State Farm if they are not defending. Insurance companies take those seriously and respond quickly.

Thanks for the responses. I am still working on State Farm. I can file the answer to the lawsuit myself. But after that I think it's time for a lawyer.
The Oregon State Bar has a referral service for lawyers. I was just hoping for a recommendation, from somebody that had to use one.
