You do know that not every American that was eligible to vote actually voted, right? Quick numbers I found indicate 245 million Americans were eligible to vote in the 2024 general election, 150 million or so actually voted leaving about 90 million that didn't vote at all

Edit. "Eligible" vs actual registered voters.

Make of that what you will.

So 161 million registered, 150 million votes, give or take a few million. That's not nothing.

Edit. Means 84+ million eligible didn't register to vote.

You guys understand the point I'm making. So many citizens care more about a major sportsball game than care about the direction our society is headed.
About 123M watched the last Superbowl according to google AI or some such, so it's pretty close to major election turnout which is telling. And the people who cared about sportsball REALLY cared.

Just wait until gambling on elections is legalized.

Voter turnout will practically septuple.

I would not be surprised if many democrats felt screwed over by their party and just refused to vote.
There's strong empirical evidence this was a factor.

Its possible I misjudged them but one person who've Ive always assumed to be liberal and a Democrat initiated a private conversation with me about why they were thinking of voting for Trump. I was floored. Another friend I believe is more liberal expressed to me they absolutely did not want to vote for either and were probably just going to write in someone knowing its just throwing their vote away. I'm from deep blue Portland and the only ("silent") conservative in my inner circle and this was very surprising to me it took me a while to unpack.

House of Reps?

Trumps win overall was a landslide.
Good job, you just earned Stevie Nicks another $0.00047477 in royalties.

I'm pretty sure she's a liberal who should defect to Canadia. Proabably. It fits the narrative, so it must be kinda true.

Assuming that all 150+ million votes were from registered voters , that's a very high percentage versus the 2022 number of registered voters of just over 161 million.

Edit. Apples to apples (how many registered voters voted this time around?)

Dang, I like her music so not this means I have to cancel her like all the liberals do. Cant be having anyone else's opinions be heard in a free speech democracy.

About 30% of the country said they wanted him and a bit less wanted Harris, but I guess in modern politics that's a "landslide"
Good enough for me, I don't care what the numbers, just that we finally got this outcome. Happy to not have four more years of what we just had ramrodded through our throats.

Completely unpossible. It's a damn shame, she's the total songbird of my dreams, but I'm never going back again so I don't stop and I'll go my own way.
