Snake River spring bear

anyone spend time in the snake river unit?

I drew a spring bear tag, and plan on putting in for an either sex elk archery tag for the fall. I am well prepared and have some really kick bubblegum friends I have made since moving to Oregon a few years ago and plan on dragging them along with.

Where is your hunt? We have seen a few bear in Hell's Canyon from the jet boat but there are a lot more of them in the Priest lake country in northern Idaho. We hunted the Lochsaw some last fall but didn't take the Horses so only saw sighn.

I am on the Oregon side and it's all of unit 59. The unit is basically a big chuck of the wallowa Whitman to include all of the hells canyon wilderness on the Oregon side. I will probably stick to the northern end just for logistical reasons.
