Smith & Wesson 629-4 "Trail Boss" 3-inch .44 Magnum.

For sale is my Smith & Wesson 629-4 with a 3-inch barrel, special version dubbed the "Trail Boss". These were an RSR Group Distributor special edition. This is a first year production from 1996, and as such it retains the firing pin hammer and, of course, pre-dates the Clinton lock. This example is ported. Not all of these were ported, as RSR selected a handful of them and sent them to Magna-Port. Included are the factory original Hogue grips, distinctive to the Trail Boss for having a cutout on the right-hand side to not cover the "Trail Boss" script engraving and a lanyard stud grip screw. Also included are Pachmayr Compac K-frame round butt grips that I modified to fit the N-frame. I don't have the original plastic box.
