Parting with my 1955r Izhevsk SKS. It is in wonderful condition with very minor nicks and scrapes on the matching Baltic birch stock. The bluing is deep and in exceptional condition with minor rub marks in some areas and a ding here and there. The bolt shows little-to-no tarnish or wear. Overall, this rifle appears to have been shot very little. Based on examination of the internals and stampings, it is likely that this SKS is non-refurbished and in rare excellent original condition, as well as a rare year of production. Rear sight is not bead blasted and still retains its white text. All numbers on the rifle are matching and also includes a non-refurbished Russian bayonet. This bayonet was added and is the only non-original part I could find. Import marked CAI under barrel at front, another desirable aspect. Also includes buttstock cleaning kit. My loss is great on this one but so is your potential gain! Sling pictured is Chinese and can add for $10.

Woops, mixed it up with my other one and my thumbs followed suit. Yes, it is a matching Tula 1955 which is a rare year for that factory these days it seems.
