Something I'd like to install soon is a secure, but quickly accessible handgun safe for an N-frame revolver in .44 Magnum. There would only be one firearm in this safe. (I might be acquiring more than one later.) Barrel lengths would be in the 5—6½" zone.

Recommendations? Thanks much.

I like my Vaulteks
You might need the VT Series. There is a non-biometric option. They are portable but also come with mounting hardware for permanent installation.

Lock Picking Lawyer on yooobietoobie has shown how ineffective these things are. Pick the one that takes him slightly over 7 seconds to open.

Thanks; checking them out now.

Circling back to this. Not clear if Vaultek has a solution that will fight a revolver of that size. Any suggests for a larger, N-frame wheelgun would be great. Would greatly prefer the kind that mounts vertically along side a desk, but open to other options. Thanks much.

I don't own one but I am see. "Stopbox" ads recently. Not sure if they are any good. Does not use batteries.

The Hornady might just do it. The StopBox doesn't look like it will fit a 659 with 5" barrel. Would prefer a vertical type that I can bolt to the side of a desk, but could work with the tabletop type.

Thanks all for the ideas. :)
