to OP: if the garage door has a legitimate lock, i dont see why not. Personally though, i dont see garage doors as very secure. With the exception of shop style roll up doors.

That's because it has to harm someone before it can be challenged and won in court. Not sure there is any constitutional muster that it can pass for the government to be able to tell you how to keep/bear/store your arms.From what I understand, this does not fly for Oregon or WA state
