Sad day for AK owners, enthusiasts and Commies around the World.

“Today news sad news has arrived that Mikhail Kalashnikov has died after a lengthy illness,” said the statement from the press secretary of the Udmurtia administration Viktor Chulkov.

I don't have an AK, but if I did I'd shoot it out of respect for him. So I guess my AR's will have to do.

RIP. He may have been a commie, but he designed a fantastic rifle.
    (With various inspirations of course)

The AK is by far my favorite platform.

I hope Browning, Garand, Stoner and many others are with whomever they please. I doubt that the list would include Kalashnikov...for very long anyway.

Edit: don't get me wrong, may Kalashnikov rest in peace.
