Ruger Scout Stock

I'm looking into buying a Ruger Scout Rifle, but I hate the stock they put on it (I hate all laminate stocks). Does anybody make an aftermarket stock? Does a regular M77 stock work?

Hi RR,

I don't believe the M77 stock will work. I have seen a great looking aftermarket stock on Impact Guns.com for the Ruger GSS called the Recon Chassis. I believe McMillan also started making aftermarket chassis for them as well.

McMillan makes their HTG stock for the GSR. I've worked on one for a customer and found it great if you run a scope most of the time. If you run irons most of the time, it puts your face a bit high. It's a top notch stock, but you pay a top notch price...
