I called Ruger and they said that they put the 30 moa on all the precision rimfires so that we can take advantage of the mighty 22lr at distance. EGW called me back this morning and I got a new base coming. Not to be a naysayer, my experience with my RPRF has been fine. Took to a 50 yard zero without any effort and drops further at 100. Don't think mine has a 30 moa rail...
My vortex scope was fine but the crosshairs were a bit fat. I didn't have any issues until I messed with it and put on a very old Bushnell target fine crosshairs scope. It has 1/8 moa adjustments, came off of a very nice benchrest gun. It just didn't have enough adjustment and that's when I discovered the slanted rail. I'm looking to make tiny groups without buying a new, very expensive scope. When the new rail shows up, I'll take it out and see if I'm accurate enough to improve on my .8 moa so far. I've been bored with firearms lately and just wanting to challenge myself.I didn't have any issues with mine. I have a Nikon Prostaff 4x12x40 BDC on it and it works great for me. I see that have discontinued it. Sorry you're having problems!
Looks very nice!
We don't make anything for it because it comes with a base. The only solution I have would solve that problem, as you suggested: get a 20MOA MSR mount, like our Vapor, which would be more than sufficient for a .22, and mount it backward, which should give you some elevation adjustment. The problem is that your scope will be mounted higher than it needs to be. However, if there is enough adjustment in the adjustable cheek weld it should work fine. As far as finding 20MOA rings, I don't know of any.Mostly my fault because I didn't realize that they come with a 30moa scope mount on them. I've tried several scopes and can't get close to on paper because of that slope. They really don't need 30 moa for a rimfire. Called them and they are willing to sell me a new rail that they don't know when it will be available. Looking online and EGW makes one but something is f'd with their site and I can't order. Can I get a set of 20 moa rings and just mount them backwards to counter the stupid slope?

Try AnarchyOutdoors.com . They carry lots of RPR stuff. Maybe they can help you. Link is up in Post # 9 . It is on sale for $59.99 right nowLooks very nice!
Just had an order from EGW today, they shipped super fast. I'm in Astoria for a couple days so will get it mounted when I get back. Will report results this weekend, I'm really hoping my new bench and scope will shave a little off my group sizes.Try AnarchyOutdoors.com . They carry lots of RPR stuff. Maybe they can help you. Glad to hear. Safe travelsJust had an order from EGW today, they shipped super fast. I'm in Astoria for a couple days so will get it mounted when I get back. Will report results this weekend, I'm really hoping my new bench and scope will shave a little off my group sizes.
I don't put "cheap" scopes on anything but I understand what you're saying. 500m with a .22lr is quite the quest. I have no doubt the projectile will make it.
^^This. If you're never going to shoot past 100 yards you really don't need a canted rail. That being said most decent scopes should have enough adjustment to compensate for that. Get something with 80MOA of travel in the turret (figure 40+, 40-) and you should be set.I would disagree if you want to be able to dial in your adjustment for 500 yards it is a necessity. For most folks though it is an unnecessary hurdle especially given that most people put the cheapest scope possible on rimfires. A couple of us in the long range group I shoot with are running our 22lr's out to 300m, 400m and 500m. We all run out of dial and holdover before we can get to 600m.
