Ruger 22 45 help

I disassembled my Ruger 22 45 for cleaning and when I put it back together the action will only open 3/4" ?
Any suggestions?
I have another one that came apart and back together with no issues

Hi badnova,
Sound like you did not line up the Hammer Strut so take it apart and reassemble. If you live in the Portland, Oregon Area you could bring it by. I live on SE 172nd Ave., Happyvalley, Oregon.

as I recall,u have to tilt the weapon skyward a bit to get the hammer srut engaged properly.
you tube has great vids n this,..and i"m glad they do . LOL
