Just thought I'd point out some info that the stock on your rifle is walnut "stained" birch wood, not a true solid walnut wood stock. The originals had black walnut stocks with cut checkering. Just in case you were not aware. Many people advertise them as walnut stocked, when they are just really stained birch wood stocks. A call to Ruger will verify it. They are good shooters.
