    They acquired a co. that researches military robots, but I doubt they will ever build any in production; IIRC the co. they bought never put any on the market, and Google is most likely interested in them for combining their own sensor tech with robot tech (movement, manipulation). My bet is they want to compete with Amazon in retail and the robots would be for warehouse work.
