I just read the actor Bill Paxton died today at the age of 61 due to complications related to surgery. He was in such films as Streets of Fire, Aliens (Pvt Hudson), Predator 2, Tombstone (Morgan Earp), and Apollo 13.

I was a big fan of his. He was a supporting actor that really made movies something special.

And from what I've been reading a truly genuine human being as well.

Correct. He suffered Rheumatic Fever as a child, which is known for causing long term heart damage. Does not hurt you initially, but eventually the damaged heart valve wears out earlier than normal.

I thought that he was fantastic in the HBO Series BIG LOVE, which was quite successful, and ran for 5 seasons. The show had a fantastic cast. Two actresses got their start in acting on the show: Ginnifer Goodwin, who played his 3rd and latest and youngest wife, and Amanda Seyfried, who played a daughter from his first wife.

HBO has all 5 seasons of the show available to view on demand. Quite a family, with 3 wives and 8 children. He was kept very busy popping Viagra.
