I want to put a scope on my AR. I just happen to have some Warne Ultra High 1" quick detach rings & I thought I'd like to try a scope for shooting 1-200 yards. My AR has a fixed front sight post & I want to make sure the scope will clear it high or at least get it to where most people would use it.

From the receiver rail to the top of the scope rings measures 2.5" high

Will my Warne Ultra high 1" rings .935" work with my fixed front sight post?http://www.brownells.com/optics-mou...m16-ultra-high-maxima-qd-rings-prod41028.aspx

Since it's just a range plinker, I was looking at this barska huntmaster 1" scope from midway with free shipping...I was looking for something inexpensive but good in the 40-60 range....if you see a better one on midway let me know :)

Your not even keeping her so.....lol Joke, im doing the same thing, but high rings on an arms qd riser, that way I can use the scope or the tijicon reflex (arms qd)without loosing zero. You will be able to fit a 40mm bell with those tall rings.

If I can build a nice, accurate KISS style M4 I may keep it. Good to know my rings will work.....now to find a good scope

a guy showed me a tasco world class 3x9-50 & I think I may get it....its a 1" tube diameter
