Still in stock, that and I highly doubt ruger won't make them soon with the 16" barrel.

I voted for 22lr. its the most accurate of the 3 calibers you mentioned and if you are just buying it too plink its economical for that arena also. I bought my 22 mag back when I was 12 and used to hunt yotes all the way through high school.. The 22mag ammo is stupid expensive for what it is. I don't know much about the 17hmr. I almost bought one during the last 22lr drought just because of ammo availability.

I brought home one of theses today. ruger american .22LR 16.5" barrel.

@Twodogs can you post up some pictures of this bad boy? Is the barrel profile that of a bull barrel? Heavy? In seriously considering placing an order for one.
