Replacing the front sight on a SIG 556 Pistol

So I have this SIG 556 Pistol, it has this "blade" style front sight and I would like to replace with it a SIG Hooded front sight. My question is, how do I take off the blade front sight? It seems to unscrew with a Hex but it doesn't come out of the lock... washer/nut/whatever it is.

Any SIG guys want to lend their knowledge?
