Hi Guys,
I have a friend who has a Remington Model 1871 with an 10.5 inch barrel chambered in what appears to be 410. It's a smooth bore, has checkering on the grips, and has an "11" marked on the receiver behind the hammer. Everything I can find on the gun states that it should be a 8.5 inch barrel that shoots a .50 cal black powder bullet. I have attached a couple of pictures for your review. I will be grateful for any help you guys can give in helping me track down information on this antique and an idea of what it is worth.
Thank you,
Chris
