Remington 700 Hogue OM Stock

Is there anyway to reinforce a Hogue OverMold Stock that has aluminum pillars, but no bedding to speak of? It is free floating until I have it on a bag or a bipod. Then it touches the barrel. I have a 26" heavy barrel in it.
