  1. I have read and accept the classified system rules and terms of service.
Selling my Remington 03-A3. Was going to get into 30-06 but with an unexpected move on the horizon things are going a different direction. I have photos of all markings I could find. Rifling looks clean and defined. Would like $890 but open to reasonable offers. Cash is king.

Would consider part trade part cash for something that takes Glock mags in 9mm. I have a 17 already but would be open to a 19 or something of that size or a 9mm PCC that takes Glock mags. No straight trade, would need some cash on top. Thank you

Photos of stock cartouches, proof marks. and bottom metal please.

I have serial number 4191052 which is a slightly lower number than yours, but my barrel was proofed in 12/43. Mine was unissued and sent straight to storage at Ogden. Curious to see if yours was the same.

Either way, your rifle was one of the last 03-A3s ever built.

The only other mark I could find is a "B" on the stock

Your rifle has the correct Remington bottom metal. As for the "B" I'm not sure. Possibly Benicia Arsenal? If that is the only cartouche, then your stock is either a replacement or refinished. Either way, still a great piece of WW2 history!

By late 1943 and early 1944 the U.S. was mass producing a new M1 Garand every 30 seconds, along with M1 carbines, M2 heavy machine guns, .30 cal. machine guns,1911s, etc., etc. The 03-A3s were obsolete and simply not needed at that moment so the contracts with Remington and Smith-Corona were canceled in early 1944 and many rifles were sent straight to storage. Remington and Smith-Corona finished up production with what they had in stock (your rifle and mine) and ended production in February,1944.

Apologies for hijacking your thread, but you have an awesome piece of WW2 history. Don't let it go too cheap. 😍
