Just joking with you Mikej ... I know you meant no foul with mention of me in your post.
I was just having fun with a part of your post.

Also with you using your finger pad to "see " bore size ... Is no where as bad as sticking as much as your finger down the bore ... or dropping something down the bore.
So I get what you said in your post.

At the gun shows I always ask if I can handle the gun. Doesn't matter if its new or antique. At gun stores I always ask if I can dry fire them.
