Range Report - S&W 686

I picked up my 686 on Friday and I love it.
My first personal revolver, my first stainless gun an I am love.
The rubber grips of which I was never a fan are AWESOME. The gun and grip combo are wonderful together giving a super hand fit.
Both single and double action trigger s wonderful. Very smooth and very crisp.

Shot on Saturday. Sights are dead on. Even I put rounds side by side. and that while shooting bulk ammo 38 specials.

The gun carries well and handles very well.

We now have 2 smiths, mine and my wife's, in the family. I am eagerly looking forward to my next S&W revolver.

I've got a S&W .44 Special Revolver and it is a very nice gun, accurate and a good trigger. I'd buy another but I think I need a Super Redhawk first.

I love S&W revolvers, they are even better with some Wolff springs.

The L frame Smith is a nice revolver. If you have the opportunity try a S&W M27 some time.

What length barrel?

I've got a 686 w/ 4" barrel. It's just a great gun to shoot. I'm not fond of the rubber grips, but haven't found anything else I want to replace them with (yet). Maybe a set of nice Ahrends someday.
