Yeah most of the stuff I read is 150ish and under

Ramshot has data for it up to 175 gr bullets. The burn rate is right in there with all the popular 30-06 powders.

TAC isn't any heavier than Big Game or Hunter.

I've weighed all three.

BTW....I've used W748 with my 30-06 loads and the 168 BTHP (bullets by Hornady).

110gr thru 175gr.

It is the first powder listed for 30-06 as well.

I use Hunter for 168 NBT in my brother's.30-06.

You can try TAC IN 30-06, but I am betting the results will not be optimal. It is too fast burning to provide decent case fill at safe pressure levels with heavier bullets. Plus you sacrifice 200 to 300 FPS velocity potential by using a less appropriate powder (such as Hunter, Accurate 2700, one of the 4350's or others). Even similar burn rate stick powders like 4064 or 4895 will probably provide better performance due to better case fill, being bulkier and taking up more room. Let us know how it goes. I was pleasantly surprise at how well Leverevolution performed with 55 gr bullets in 5.56 loads out of a 24" barrel. (Based on conservative CFE-223 load data). Maybe you can surprise us.
