I ran a second batch of brass through the wet tumbler. It's on the patio deck getting a tan right now. They came out relatively clean but not shiny.

I tried using some lemon and lime concentrate today. It didn't seem to help much. I didn't use the SS pins so that may be necessary. I am fine with the lack of polish. I just want them clean.Hint - squeeze a half a lemon or lime into your tumbler water and they will come out like this!

Gotta use the real stuff - or at least 'real' squeezed lemon or lime juice.I tried using some lemon and lime concentrate today.
Did you forget the 1/4 teaspoon of Lemishine?I ran a second batch of brass through the wet tumbler. It's on the patio deck getting a tan right now. They came out relatively clean but not shiny.
I don't have lemishine yet.Did you forget the 1/4 teaspoon of Lemishine?
Those are clean enough to run through my dies, but Lemishine puts the shine into the brass. They have it at Walmart in the cleaning products aisle. I think I even saw some at Winco.
Tell me about it. I have 2000 of their 9mm 115 gr TMJ pulls due to arrive on Monday. Would have been under a hundred bucks delivered if I had an Oregon mailing address. This weekend I have to reorganize my safe space again, to make room for major influx of orders from American Reloading (deals were too good to resist). I will try to sneak in a few more 30-06 reloads along the way.
I have placed 33 orders with them since July 5th. So much for buying a bunch more magazines.Tell me about it. I have 2000 of their 9mm 115 gr TMJ pulls due to arrive on Monday. Would have been under a hundred bucks delivered if I had an Oregon mailing address.
High sales tax is the price we pay (up to 9% now) for not having to file a state income tax return.
Make that 35 orders. There are only 3 batches left of this 1911 food.I have placed 33 orders with them since July 5th. So much for buying a bunch more magazines.![]()
Nope, but what is it sized to? Looks pretty lumpy coating wise. What mould was that cast from? I shoot 190 & 200gr out of both a .30-06 & 308 without issue as to length. Are you at the crimp groove?I am working with some 190gr bullets and I had to seat them very deep to make them chamber in my Savage 30-06. The COAL was brought down to 3.04", to make them fit.
Do you guys find this to be normal to have to seat heavy cast bullets this deep for Savage chambers?

I put a fat layer of powder coat on them but ran them through a Lee push through sizer die. That sized them down to .3095Nope, but what is it sized to? Looks pretty lumpy coating wise. What's the diameter at the nose, just above the crimp groove, and at the driving bands.
The powder was a hammer tone finish which is a "lumpy" finish.Nope, but what is it sized to? Looks pretty lumpy coating wise. What mould was that cast from? I shoot 190 & 200gr out of both a .30-06 & 308 without issue as to length. Are you at the crimp groove?
